Generous 8' south facing windows enhance solar gain during the colder winter months, while allowing unobstructed views of this pristine habitat. Smaller windows on the west (shown above) with 3' roof overhangs allow panoramic views without overheating in the summer. Corrugated metal roofs collect snow and rain water for gardening/landscaping use. House siting on southwest facing slope provides complete privacy, yet it is only 1.5 miles from the town of Norwood which offers schools, cafes, library, groceries and Medical/Dental Clinic. The town of Telluride and Telluride Ski and Golf area are only 40 minutes by car or bus. The desert canyonlands of Moab, Utah are a short 2 hours to the west. Airports are found in Telluride, and nearby Montrose and Grand Junction, Colorado.
